Website + owner app

An identity customers recognise. An app that supports the working day.

For a North London makeup artist, the website had to do more than display beautiful work. It needed to make the next enquiry straightforward and give Mita control of the business behind it.

Start with the business she already had.

The starting point was a printed business card: a distinctive MITA wordmark, a circular badge and a soft, powder-led palette. The brief was to carry that identity onto the web and give bridal, occasion and editorial customers a clear way to enquire.

There were two related jobs. Customers needed to understand the services and ask about a date. Mita needed to organise the enquiries, lesson requests, client details and portfolio updates that follow.

A clear route from interest to enquiry.

The public site separates portfolio, services and prices, lessons and the artist’s story. A customer can browse the work, check the relevant service and contact Mita without having to understand how the business operates behind the scenes.

  • An identity carried throughThe serif wordmark, circular badge and powder colours connect the site to the existing printed brand.
  • Two different customer journeysEvent enquiries ask about the occasion, date and location. Lesson requests ask for a preferred date, time and lesson type, ready for Mita to confirm.
  • A portfolio Mita controlsPhoto albums organise the work by category. New images and changes can be made through the owner app.
  • Contact in the customer’s own wayThe website supports a structured enquiry and WhatsApp contact links, alongside the information needed to choose a service.

The private owner app brings the work that follows an enquiry into one interface. It is designed for a phone between appointments, while remaining usable on a larger screen.

  • Today, enquiries and bookingsSee requests needing an answer and upcoming bookings. Confirm or update a booking from its own entry.
  • Clients and invoicesKeep client details together, prepare an invoice or quote, record payments and see the outstanding balance. A shareable invoice opens as a printable page.
  • Photos and pricesUpload watermarked images, reorder portfolio photos and update service prices. The public site reads from the same managed content.

A beauty website with practical controls.

The public website uses the visual language of Mita’s brand; the owner app keeps that connection while giving the controls more space and simpler labels. Portfolio management, invoices and bookings sit behind a private entrance.

That division matters for a service business. A customer should be able to focus on the work and the next step. The owner should be able to keep the website useful as prices, photos and appointments change.
