Redway Studio is a web design studio in Milton Keynes, owned and run by Armin Shirazi. We are the data controller for the information described here. If you would rather just ask a person, email [email protected].
When you book an intro call
The booking form asks for your name, email address, phone number, and optionally your business name and what you would like to talk about. We use it to hold the slot, send your confirmation and a reminder, and have the conversation.

We check that the email domain can receive mail and that the phone number has the right number of digits for its country. That happens on our own server, in the moment, and nothing is sent to a third party to do it.
We do not look you up. We do not run your email address or phone number through any people-search, data-broker or enrichment service, and we do not build a profile of you from other sources. If we look at anything before the call, it is the website or company you told us about yourself.
When you use website chat
Our website chat uses Chatwoot. We use the messages and any contact details you choose to share there to answer your enquiry. Please only include information relevant to your question.

Our website and its data live on our own server in the UK — not on rented cloud hosting. We do not sell your information, and we never pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits without analytics cookies or tracking you between websites. We also use our self-hosted Umami service to understand website traffic.
We may offer optional Google Analytics to understand visits to our public pages and whether people send an enquiry or book a call. When this is available, you will see an analytics choice. Google Analytics only loads after you choose to accept. You can decline and still use the website and booking form.
Our Google Analytics events use a fixed set of public page paths and enquiry or booking methods. We do not include your name, contact details, message, query strings or private client links in those events. Advertising personalisation is switched off. Google can process technical and usage information, including your IP address and analytics identifiers, internationally. Read Google's privacy policy for information about its processing and safeguards.
Your analytics choice and Google Analytics cookies are kept for a maximum of six months. When optional analytics is available, you can change or withdraw your permission using Analytics settings at the bottom of the page. Withdrawing permission stops further optional measurement and clears the Google Analytics cookies on this site; it does not erase information already processed.
How long we keep it
- A call that did not lead to work — 12 months, then deleted.
- A client — for the project, then 6 years, because HMRC requires business records to be kept that long.
- Emails — kept while they are useful, reviewed yearly.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it at all. Email [email protected] and we will deal with it within one month. It costs nothing and we will not ask why.
If you think we have handled your information badly, please tell us first — but you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Backup & restore clients
If you take the £8/month website backup service, your name, email address and Direct Debit details are held by GoCardless Ltd, our payment processor, under the Direct Debit Guarantee. Encrypted copies of your website are stored on our server in Milton Keynes and with Backblaze, Inc. (B2 Cloud Storage, EU Central region, Amsterdam) under the backup service terms and data processing agreement. For the personal data inside your website you remain the controller and we act as your processor.
Client websites we build
When we build a website for a client, that site is theirs and they are the data controller for anyone who uses it. We act on their instructions. This notice covers Redway Studio's own site and our own dealings with you.
