Cost

What does a website cost at Redway Studio?

Our actual prices, what is inside each one, and the things that are deliberately scoped separately so nothing arrives as a surprise on an invoice.

By Armin ShiraziUpdated 2 October 2026

I would rather put the prices on the page than make you book a call to hear them. Everything below is what we actually charge for UK small businesses, based in Milton Keynes, meeting clients by appointment locally and in London or within about two hours of Milton Keynes, and working UK-wide online.

There are three build options and one optional care plan. You pay for the build once. Care is a separate, entirely optional monthly subscription that you can cancel at any time.

The three build options

  • Launch

    £795

For a business that needs to look credible and get enquiries, not run a back office.

    • Up to five pages, built around what you actually want people to do
    • Custom design, not a template with your name on it
    • A working enquiry form that reaches your inbox
    • Domain and email setup so your addresses look professional
    • Essential SEO setup, included in every build

Small text changes can be scoped in separately, but Launch deliberately does not include a photo album you can maintain yourself, a booking engine, or any payments or admin behind the scenes. If you need those, they belong in Business or Shop.

  • Business

    £1,495

A website plus a private owner area, so you run the business rather than emailing it over to someone else.

    • The website, plus a private owner app for the agreed staff and owner controls
    • Invoices, galleries, enquiries and bookings in one place
    • WhatsApp contact and sharing links built in
    • The exact workflows we agree up front, built and tested with you

What the owner area does is agreed precisely before we start, so there are no surprises about which screens you get.

  • Shop

    from £2,495

For taking payment, and knowing afterwards what sold and what to reorder.

    • Product pages and a working checkout
    • Stock and order management behind the scenes
    • Scope agreed in advance, which is why this is a starting price rather than a fixed one

Bespoke systems like an ERP, a warehouse tool or an AI phone assistant are quoted separately and are not part of the £1,495 Business price. These projects need their own agreed scope and quote.

What moves a price up or down

Two businesses can pay the same headline price and get very different amounts of work. These are the variables that decide it.

  • Number of pages and how finished they arrive. A site where you know exactly what goes on each page is quicker than one where every page is a new conversation.
  • Number of products or services in a shop. Twenty simple products and two hundred varied ones are not the same job.
  • How many agreed workflows the owner app has to run. Invoices and enquiries are one scope. Deposits, reminders and complex automation are quite another.
  • How much of your content and photography is ready. We are happy to work with what you have, but sourcing and preparing material is real time and it is quoted rather than absorbed.
  • Integrations with tools you already pay for. Connecting to existing systems can be simple or can be the hardest part of the project, depending on what they expose.

Some features are not universally included, and it is fairer to say so than to bury them: deposits, automated reminders, payment provider fees, and integrations or complex automation are all scoped per project rather than assumed in the headline number.

One-off build, then optional care

The build price is the project. It covers designing, building, testing and getting the site live and right. After that it is entirely your call whether you want anything ongoing.

Care — £39 per month, optional, cancel any time

  • UK hosting with SSL included
  • Daily backups
  • Security upkeep and uptime monitoring
  • A monthly search health review with a short written report
  • Up to 30 minutes per month of small content and SEO changes, combined

Two things to be clear about. First, that 30 minutes is the total for small content and SEO edits together each month, not 30 minutes for each. Second, it is deliberately small: new pages, new articles and larger growth work are separate projects, quoted as such. If your site needs a steady stream of new writing, care is not the right way to buy that.

Essential SEO setup is part of every build, whichever option you choose, to give search engines a clear, crawlable starting point. Beyond that setup we make no promises about rankings, indexing or AI citations, and no honest studio should. Search results move for reasons outside any single website, and anyone guaranteeing a position is guessing.

Third-party costs, and why you keep them

Some costs are never ours to pay, because they belong to providers we do not control: payment processing, any app-store or marketplace fees, paid stock photography, a business email service, and similar. These are always scoped clearly beforehand rather than arriving later, and the price depends on which provider and plan you choose.

You pay those providers directly and you hold those accounts in your own name. That is not an accounting detail. If we ever stopped working together, you would still have your domain, your hosting, your payment account and your content, and nothing would need to be untangled. It is also why we will not quietly sign you up for a long contract somewhere you do not control.

How a project actually runs

Every build starts with a short conversation about what you are trying to achieve, not a form. From there you get a written scope at a fixed price, the work, and a handover where I show you how to edit things yourself. I am based in Milton Keynes and meet by appointment locally and in London or within about two hours of Milton Keynes; UK-wide work is done online. Meetings are by appointment, Monday to Sunday, 9am to 7pm.

If a price genuinely does not fit your situation, say so on the call. It is much more useful than a project that quietly struggles and everyone regrets later.

Want a firm price for your project?

Book a free 15-minute call and I will tell you which option fits, what I would leave out, and what it would cost. You will get a straight answer rather than a sales pitch, and nothing is held against you if you decide to do it yourself.

Prices correct as at 2 October 2026. Every website includes essential SEO setup. Hosting and care are optional. We do not guarantee rankings, indexing or AI citations, and we do not publish an industry average, because we have no way of knowing what anyone else charges you.
